Caring For Your Small Animals

At AMC, we offer the same care and advice for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils, Rats and Mice as we do for dogs and cats.

The correct nutrition, bedding and gentle handling of small furies is vital for their welfare. Understanding their dental requirements is also important. Poor teeth alignment can cause significant deterioration in feeding and poor nutrition is the most common cause of illness.

In-House Laboratory

Whether your pet needs a blood test, ultrasound or urine test, our dedicate veterinary staff are able to complete these procedures in-house. However, if your pet has a rare or unusual illness, then we are able to send the samples to an external lab for evaluation.

Diagnosis & Treatment Facilities

Our diagnosis and treatment facilities are fully equipped with the latest technology for diagnosing and treating illnesses. From oxygen units to small animal scales, ultrasound equipment to x-ray machinery, we ensure that your pet is safe, secure and above all cared for, during their visit.

Visiting Specialists

If you’re looking for specific advice on caring for your small animal, or you want someone to take a look over your pet, then our visiting specialists are able to help. They regularly visit our practice, so make sure you ask us when they’re next in.

Out of Hours & Emergencies

We all know that when something goes wrong, it doesn’t always happen during normal office hours. However, we have a dedicated out of hours and emergencies number that you can call should anything happen. Dedicated support staff are on the end of the phone, so there’s no need to worry.
