Services
We offer preventative health care and responsible ownership advice and treatment, as well as internal medicine, cancer treatment, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery we are also able to offer the following services:

Blood Analysis
This enables us to do a range of ‘in-house’ blood testing for fasted results. This is used in combination with an external laboratory service achieving a complete and thorough diagnosis

Blood Pressure
Hypertension or high blood pressure is more common in older pets and is secondary to an existing disease. Unfortunately if left untreated, this can lead to blindness, neurological damage, heart complications and kidney failure.

Cats Only
Here at Animal Medical Centre we have a feline only reception area, feline only consulting rooms and a feline only hospitalisation area. This alleviates the stress that may be caused by the smell or sound of dogs.

Grooming
We offer a select grooming service suitable for your pet’s individual needs. This includes bathing, clipping, stripping, dematting and medical and non medical shampooing. Please call the practice to discuss your requirements and further details.

Merchandise
Also on site we have a range of good quality and recommended mechandise including, toys, leads and collars, pet food and other merchandise. We can order a wide range of speciality products and non-standard merchandise.

Microchips
It is always advisable to have your pet identified with a tag on its collar with your telephone number. However some pets will not tolerate collars, and collars can be lost so it highly recommended having your pet microchipped. This is a quick procedure that permanently identifies your pet. The microchips are read by a scanner so if your pet is found by a veterinary clinic, the RSPCA or other shelter it can be quickly identified and returned home. Microchipping pet is a crucial step in the fight against stolen pets.

Neutering
Neutering involves surgically removing the reproductive organs so that breeding is not possible. If you would like to discuss whether neutering is right for you pet, please call and speak to one of Animal Medical Centre staff who will be please to help.

We are able to offer a Pet Passport Service enabling you to travel with your pet to countries under the pet travel scheme. Different countries have different requirements, please call us if you have any queries or visit www.defra.gov.uk

Preventative Health Care
Using preventative health care such as flea and worm treatment, good quality diets, dental hygiene regimes and having regular exercise can reduce the onset of progressive diseases and keeps you pet healthier, fitter and living a long and happy life. We offer and advise on a full range of preventative health care.

Rabbit Care and Treatment
We offer a full range of Rabbit care and treatment. A good quality diet and regular dental health checks are essential in keeping your rabbit in the best of health. Vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and rabbit boarding are also available.

Radiography
Used to investigate intestinal, bladder and orthopaedic complications.

Ultrasonography
For internal organ complications and pregnancy diagnosis
